Training to Train
HRVC's 13U teams will develop their general fitness and basic volleyball skills under stable conditions and focus on consistency and control. Athletes will be introduced to competitive experiences to perform skills while under pressure, when conditions change, or demands increase. At this stage, athletes will learn skills for all positions and game situations will allow athletes to rotate through all the positions. Basic team tactics will be introduced.

Information about our 13U season
We will practice 2 times a week for a total of 4 hours. All 13U practices are at Trinity Christian School.

We will compete in 4 OVA 13U tournaments and the Ontario Championship (plus 2-3 additional tournaments):
     OVA 13U Tournaments:  Dec. 12   Jan. 23   Feb. 13   Mar. 6
Ontario Championship:   April 23-25 (OVA to confirm)

The teams plan to compete in a U.S. tournament.

The annual fees this season will be in the range of $800-$950. This will cover uniforms, gym rentals, OVA player and tournament fee. In addition, each athlete will be asked to purchase $175 in raffle tickets, with proceeds from the raffle ticket sales going towards participation in a major tournament. This is the only major fund-raising campaign for the club and athletes can recoup the cost by selling their raffle tickets in their community.
There may be additional fund-raising required to attend US East Coast Nationals.
