HRVC's 14U teams will continue to develop their basic volleyball skills and focus on gaining more consistency and control. Training will also develop the athlete's speed, strength, and flexibility. Athletes will begin to learn basic team systems and position specialization will be introduced. Tournament experience will allow athletes to transfer volleyball skills and tactics to competitive situations.

Welcome to HRVC's 14U try-outs!

The Halton Region Volleyball Club (HRVC) is dedicated to developing highly skilled volleyball players. We are conducting try-outs for our two 14U competitive teams:

Open try-outs for the 14U teams:

Try-out fee is $30.
Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your try-out for registration.
Please bring your completed registration form.
Athletes will be guaranteed a minimum of 2 try-outs.
The final try-out is by invitation only.

Information about our 14U season

We will practice 2 times a week for a total of 4 hours.



We will compete in 5 OVA 14U tournaments and the Ontario Championship (plus 2-3 additional tournaments):
     OVA 14U Tournaments: Dec. 5    Jan. 9    Jan. 30    Feb. 20    Mar. 27
     Ontario Championship:   April 23-25 (OVA to confirm)

The team will choose to compete in either a U.S. tournament or the Canadian National open tournament (May 6-9).

The annual fees this season will be in the range of $800-$950. This will cover uniforms, gym rentals, OVA player and tournament fee. In addition, each athlete will be asked to purchase $175 in raffle tickets, with proceeds from the raffle ticket sales going towards participation in a major tournament. This is the only major fund-raising campaign for the club and athletes can recoup the cost by selling their raffle tickets in their community. There may be additional fund-raising required to attend the Nationals.
