Matt Arnone - Assistant coach, 18U Black
Matt has been involved with volleyball for 15 years, first as a player and now as a coach. He currently has his Level 1 Theory and Level 1 Technical. Here is his background:

Gord Rodwin - Assistant coach, 15U Blue
Gord joined us last season as assistant coach on our 14U Black team. Gord has played organized league volleyball for years.

Ioan (John) Cristescu - Head coach, 17U Black
Johns holds a Master's Degree in Kinesiology and the equivalency for Levels 1 & 2 Theory at the National Coaching level. The club is fortunate to have John's experience as a player and a coach at the international level. As a player he was on the Romanian team that won the national championship (1990-92). In Romania he coached the junior team that won the national championship in 1997-99 and that won the International Youth Tournament in France in 1999 and in Germany in 2002. John was also the coach of the Romanian Women's National Volleyball team. John joined HRVC in 2007 as a head coach.

Victor Lewis - Head coach, 18U Blue
Victor is currently the club's Coach Liaison and head coach of the 17U Blue team. He has also coached with the Volley Girls' program, the University Performance Camp and is an active player in an adult league. Victor has attained his Level 1 coaching certification, his Level 2 theory and Level 2 Technical. Here is Vic's coaching background:

Amanda Fong - Assistant coach, 18U Blue

This is Amanda's first year with HRVC. Amanda's coaching experience includes: Assistant coach for the U14 Toronto West Volleyball Club, Assistant coach at Oakville Trafalgar H.S., Assistant coach for the Toronto Phoenix Volleyball Club.

Amanda has been playing since high school and continues to play in several competitive leagues and tournaments across the GTA, including the 9-man volleyball tournament held across North America each summer.

Ann Marie Lloyd - Assistant coach, 18U Blue
Ann Marie Lloyd attended school in Mississauga. As a graduate of the University of Toronto, she also played for the 1994-95 Inter-faculty Champions Women's volleyball team. After graduating, she has been a member of various competitive leagues simultaneously in areas that span across Toronto, Brampton and Mississauga. Currently a Board member for an organization that assists teenage girls, Ann Marie brings her 4 years of etiquette instruction experience to compliment her ability to coach.

Mike is one of the original coaches with HRVC and coaches the senior team at Delta HS in Hamilton.

Sonny Singh - Assistant coach, 16U Black

Sonny has been involved with organizedvolleyball for 22 years. In 1995 his senior year of high school his team wonthe regional championship and he was named MVP. Coming out of high school hepursued a career in business where he managed over 100 employees. Currently heis a business owner and an active player in competitive leagues within Burlington /Hamiltonin both beach and court. He recently assisted in the University PerformanceCamp and is looking to complete Level 1 coaching. Sonny is looking forward tousing his experiences in life and volleyball to help assist in coaching.

Richard Melski - Head coach, 16U Blue
Richard has coached High school girls' vollleyball in Brantford for 5 years at every age group from midget to senior. He has also coached with the Volley Girls House League program.
Richard joined HRVC last season as an Assistant Coach with the 15U Blue team.

Dale Martin - Assistant coach, 15U Black
Dale brings with her lots of experience as both a player and a coach. She played at the high school level, and then with Sheridan College for 1 year and on the Brock University Varsity team for 4 years. Dale continues to play in an elite women's league. Here is Dale's coaching experience:

Nik Vitas - Head coach, 14U Black
Nik currently holds his Level 1 Theory, Level 1 Technical and Level 2 technical designations. He went to school in Burlington and played on both high school and club teams. He played as a middle on the U of T men's varsity team.

Neil Salomons - Head coach, 14U Blue
Neil holds his Level 1 certification. He has years of experience as a player, starting at the high school level where his teams won 2 Halton championships. He has played competitive beach volleyball for 20 years. Neil has played a variety of team and individual sports and in 1982 and 1983 he was Canada's top handball player. Julie played club volleyball for Forest City in London and varsity volleyball with Mohawk College. She stills plays women's competitive volleyball in Burlington.

Mark Stevens - Assistant coach, 13U Blue
Mark is joining the Hurricanes staff this year after years of being a volleyball parent and player. He has been assisting coaches at the club volleyball level for several years and continues to be active playing volleyball and other sports.

Linda Stevens - Head coach, 13U Blue
Linda is returning to the Hurricanes coaching staff and is looking forward to an exciting and successful season for the organization. Linda's athletic career includes competing in multiple sports including track, volleyball and basketball. She is still actively playing beach and indoor volleyball as often as her busy schedule allows. Linda has experience coaching basketball and volleyball and enjoys developing the abilities of young athletes.

Adrienne Gligoric - Assistant coach, 13U Black

Adrienne brings 4 years of experience to the Hurricanes coaching co-ed volleyball at Dofasco Recreation Centre in both the midget and bantam divisions - as well as 4 seasons of co-coaching girls volleyball at the public school level. She has played volleyball since public school herself and still plays competitive women's and mixed volleyball on the beach and hard court. Adrienne currently holds her Level 1 Theory.

Adam was raised in Oakville and played one year of junior varsity volleyball at the University of Western Ontario and one year of varsity volleyball at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia.

Craig Roberts - Head coach, 13U White
New to HRVC but not new to volleyball, Craig has taken on a position of Head Coach of our youngest athletes on the 13U White team. Craig has coached elementary and secondary school girls' volleyball in Halton for 8 years. He has also been a volunteer coach with the Volley Girls instruction program for 2 years and last summer joined the Volley Girls coaching staff on the beach courts.

Sara Coe - Assistant coach, 13U White
To say I love volleyball is an understatement. I LOVE VOLLEYBALL!!! I played high school volleyball as well as rep volleyball for Durham Attack. I just moved back to Burlington in mid-December and was too late to join a team myself, so....the next best thing was being Assistant Coach on the 13U White team with Craig.
My other love is children, and I'm hoping some day to make a career working with wee ones either as a special ed teacher or therapist with disabled children.

Denyse Wahlgren - Assistant coach, 14U Blue
Denyse played club volleyball for the Hamilton Seekers for 4 years, winning several provincial championships during her club career. She received a 4-year, Division 1 full scholarship to the University of Tulsa. Denyse received the Western Athletic Conference All-Academic award each of her 4 years and obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering. Upon graduation, Denyse held the total career dig record.
